I got new running shoes! (Pictured above) I had a pretty awesome experience with my local running store - the employee was able to check out my arches and stride, and actually recommended stability shoes over the neutral ones I had been wearing. Great service - I will definitely be going there for future running needs.
Anyway - my first run out on these guys was less than successful. IDK what it was... but ten minutes in my feet and calves were just KILLING me. So... I took the rest of the weekend off. I'm chalking it up to a combination of doing too much last week, and my leg muscles adjusting to the new shoes. This weekend was mostly relaxing - even got some pool time in.
Today was my first chance to run, and I actually felt really good for about the first 20 minutes. I didn't want to push it too hard and would really like to get gym time in every day this week, so I also spent time on abs, free weights, and the elliptical. Overall pretty pleased with today!
I was craving Indian food, but am trying to keep my diet pretty clean this week. So, I whipped up some vegetable curry!
